What is an End of Life Doula?
An end-of-life doula is a holistic guide and coach to the dying and their care circle. The calm, grounding presence of an end-of-life doula can help you navigate the end of life, no matter what stage you, your loved one, or those in your care are in.
As a certified EOL Doula trained in the three stages of end of life, I work with you to address your EOL concerns. Legacy work, creating a vigil plan, or writing an ethical will are just a few ways we can work together.
Advance Care Planning
Advance Care Planning addresses your EOL medical wishes and designates the person you would like to speak them for you if you are no longer able with Advance Directives. I can guide you through the paperwork and also lead the important discussions with your care circle. We also talk through where you like to be and create plans and alternatives.
While end of life is not a surprise in itself, the when can take us by surprise no matter how prepared we may think we are. Having put in the work to think though your wishes, put them down on paper and best of all have the conversations with loved ones, and
If there’s an emergency, having all of these in place change the nature of the impact, but in general, concerns about end of life can be lightened when you take an honest look at what you would like. It’s a gift to yourself and your family.
